Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the available dates and times for the 2007 Education In Motion Program?
Magic Springs theme park (not the water park) will be open to elementary and middle schools on April 25, 2008. All theme park rides, including those suitable for guests under 48 inches tall, will be operating.
Both Magic Springs theme park and Crystal Falls water park will be open to:
- Middle and High schools on May 2 and May 9, 2008
- Elementary and High schools on May 16, 2008
2. Who is able to attend this event?
The park is open exclusively to a limited number of teachers and students on each Education in Motion (EIM) date. All schools are invited to attend. No tickets will be sold to the general public. No season passes will be accepted on these dates.
3. Are reservations required?
Attendance is limited on Education in Motion dates, so advance reservations are required. Each school or class must notify Magic Springs at least 48 hours in advance of the date it wishes to attend by completing the registration form or by registering on our website (www.magicsprings.com). Book early! We have limited capacity and reservations are going fast. The park will be closed to the general public on Education in Motion dates. You are responsible for paying for the actual number of students and extra chaperones who attend and not the number of reservations made.
4. How much does it cost to attend?
The cost to attend EIM is $18.00 per person. The park will provide one complimentary chaperone ticket for every 15 students attending the park. Parking is free on Education in Motion days. EIM tickets may be upgraded to Season Passes on day of event. Visit our web site for a full schedule of activities - www.magicsprings.com
5. What is the best way to pay for tickets?
The best payment option is to send a school purchase order at least 14 days in advance. This will save you time on your event date since your tickets will be delivered to you in advance and you will not have to wait in line. The school will then be billed only for the actual number of tickets not returned.
6. Does Magic Springs give change from a school check?
Magic Springs does not give change from school checks. Please bring a check for the exact amount of the admission tickets or send a school purchase order with instructions to be billed after the event for the exact number of admission tickets used.
7. Do bus drivers receive complimentary admission tickets?
Yes, bus drivers must show a valid CDL license at the group sales window to receive a complimentary ticket. All other drivers will require a regular admission ticket.
8. What options are available for lunch?
Selected food stands offering hamburgers, chicken, pizza, and other snacks will be open throughout the park. Students may also bring lunch with them, but remind them that no glass containers are allowed. Teachers should box all lunches together and mark the box clearly with the school and class name. One person from your group should be assigned to oversee the lunches brought from your school. Lunches may be stored and eaten in the pavilion across from our wooden roller coaster, the Arkansas Twister. Free Pepsi products will be offered throughout the park.
9. How do we get a copy of the online resource guide?
Once we receive your reservation, you will be emailed a hyperlink to our online resource guide. Be sure to provide your e-mail address on the order form. If you do not have Internet access and need a printed guide mailed to you, please check the “I Do Not Have EMail/Internet Access” box on the order form.
10. What happens if it rains on the day of our event?
Education in Motion is held rain or shine.
11. Are season passes valid during the Education in Motion event?
No, season passes are not valid on EIM dates. EIM is an exclusive event for schools and Magic Springs is closed to the public on these dates.
